As I sit down to write this column, I have just received word that the Queensland Police will imminently begin consultation on the roll-out of a new state-wide Vehicle Immobiliser subsidy trial in North Queensland. We have previously advocated for the introduction of an incentivisation scheme to support the uptake of immobiliser devices and will be participating in discussions with the Queensland Police in the coming weeks on the issue.
In other news, nominations have now been called for Committee Members and Representatives across many of our divisions.
Joining your committee is a great way of becoming entrenched in the decision-making of the direction of your division sector while also introducing yourself to other like-minded business owners and professionals and promoting your brand to the rest of industry!
