February 2022

At the time of writing this column, we are gearing up for our first Auto Women Connect virtual networking event.

I am incredibly excited to be able to offer a platform for women from all areas of the automotive industry across Queensland to connect with one another and discuss and provide feedback on the issues facing women in today’s industry. I, as well as the eight other Auto Women mentors, can’t wait to connect with everyone, and we hope to see you at the next session later this year.

To stay up to date on the latest activities and communications of Auto Women, you can follow the Auto Women Facebook page.

Elections

I would also like to remind members that we are coming up to election time for many divisions. After ongoing delays at the hands of COVID-19, elections have now been scheduled for Committee and Representative positions for the following Divisions and Districts: QFIMDD, QMID, TUDQ, AADA, AED, NACA and North Queensland District.

Joining the Committee of your division comes with numerous benefits! Make a difference and guide the advocacy efforts of the Division to matters affecting your sector. Meet like-minded business owners and professionals and form lifelong connections. And learn and hone invaluable professional development skills that can help advance your professional career. Just to name a few.

Nominations open 16 February and close 16 March 2022.

Members should be on the lookout for more information coming soon regarding the nomination process and calls of interest.
