Following on from Rod’s column, 2023 will also see MTA Queensland “on the road” again, delivering a comprehensive series of member forums across the state.
We will be visiting Bundaberg and Hervey Bay in February, followed by Townsville, Cairns, and Emerald in March. These meetings are an important avenue of communication with our members and provide us with a greater understanding of industry concerns at a local level. I encourage all to get involved. For more information and to RSVP, click HERE.
We have also scheduled the first round of our divisional meetings, opening with ERAQ on Wednesday, 1 February. Meetings are open to both members and non-members,
and can be attended online. Email [email protected] to register your interest!
On this topic, MTA Queensland is calling on all Service Station member businesses to have their say on the Transport and Resources Committee’s Inquiry into the Liquid Fuel Supply (Minimum Biobased Petrol Content) Amendment Bill 2022. A detailed explanation of the objectives of the Bill can be found HERE.
Finally, as we head into the Christmas break, we are unfortunately faced with an increase in cyber attacks. Understanding the digital capabilities of your business is the first step to determining your strengths and weaknesses. Perform a digital health check on your business via the Business Queensland website.
2023 will be a big year for everyone, so let’s make sure we are in a position to take full advantage of that opportunity. I wish all members a safe and joyful festive season.
20 December 2022.
