Industry Skills and Jobs Advisor Program

The Queensland Government is investing $17 million over three years to expand the Industry Skills and Jobs Advisor (ISJA) program across 14 key industry sectors, bridging the gap between industry and training. MTA Queensland has been selected by the Department of Trade, Employment and Training to work with the automotive industry through the ISJA program.

The MTAQ ISJA team play a critical role in advocating for industry needs by engaging with employers, small business and industry stakeholders. We provide evidence-based advice on workforce trends, skills gaps, and training needs, to ensure Queensland’s vocational education and training (VET) programs align with the real needs of industry. With your feedback, we can help identify the areas to support and develop solutions through the establishment of initiatives and programs to target these needs. We also connect industry to training support – help employers, small businesses, and industry stakeholders engage with VET pathways, government programs and initiatives, and events.

By working together, we can ensure the automotive industry has the VET system in place to underpin future growth, and we need you to work with us to achieve this!
