MTA Queensland has introduced the Women in Automotive Trades Apprenticeships Program to support the recruitment and retention of female apprentices in the automotive industry. The program is proudly funded by the Queensland Government through the Women in Trades Mentoring Program.
Through the program, we have partnered with BUSY Sisters to offer targeted, one-on-one mentoring and pastoral care services and resources to all female automotive apprentices across Queensland, delivering the resources and guidance necessary to allow them to thrive throughout their apprenticeship. The progam will also extend to supporting automotive industry employers of female apprentices and trainees by providing tools and resources to develop inclusive and respectful workplaces that drive capacity for females to thrive.
