Pricing and specifications for the new generation, smart electric vehicle (EV) range has been released. The six-vehicle smart range, headlined by the high-performance BRABUS versions will be available from LSH Auto Australia’s retail outlets in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
The two launch models are the smart #1 five-door urban crossover, and the smart # 3 crossover coupe, each offering a Pro+, Premium and BRABUS specification.
The range begins with the smart #1 Pro+ featuring amongst its specifications, 19-inch wheels, panoramic roof, advanced intelligent driving with smart autopilot, LED headlights, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and powered tailgate. It is driven by a single motor producing 200kW and 343Nm. 0-100km/h is covered in a tidy 6.7 seconds.
The smart #1 Premium adds a 640W Beats sound system, fast AC charging, matrix headlights and leather upholstery. The range topping smart #1 BRABUS boasts twin motors delivering 315kW/543Nm. That power enables a 0-100km/h sprint in 3.9 seconds.
The smart #1 range is priced from $54,900 (plus on-roads) for the Pro+, the #1 Premium is $58,900 (plus on-roads) and the smart #1 BRABUS is $67,900 (plus on roads).
The smart #3 Pro+ delivers the same power as the #1 but covers the 0-100km/h sprint in 5.8 seconds. The smart #3 Premium mirrors its #1 sibling in external and internal specifications, also taking 5.8 seconds for the 0-100km/h dash. The smart #3 BRABUS gains 20-inch wheels along with the dual motor set up. The 0-100km/h sprint is covered a touch quicker than the #1 BRABUS, being covered in 3.7 seconds.
The smart #3 range is priced from $57,900 plus on-road costs for the Pro+,
the #3 Premium is positioned at $61,900 plus on-roads, and the smart #3 BRABUS
is at $70,900 plus on roads.
