Rod Camm, the CEO of MTA Queensland, recently sat down for an interview with The Motoring Chronicles YouTube channel, offering valuable insights into the current state of the automotive industry in Queensland. Covering a broad range of topics, the discussion delved into the pressing
issues facing the sector, including the transition to electric vehicles (EVs), infrastructure readiness, workforce and skills shortages, interacting with governments, and more.
One of the key themes of the interview was the impact of EV adoption. Mr Camm highlighted the need for industry to understand the shift that is happening and to prepare for a future in which electrification will be the norm. He also highlighted that while government support has been encouraging, more strategic planning is required to ensure a seamless transition to new mobility technologies.
