MG Motor Australia has taken the covers off the all-new ZS HYBRID+.
The new model – available in Excite and Essence variants – integrates a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine with a 100kW/250Nm electric motor, paired with a 1.83kWh NMC battery and a three-speed optimised hybrid automatic transmission. The ZS HYBRID+ powertrain produces 158kW of maximum combined power, 465Nm, and delivers a combined average fuel consumption of 4.7L/100km.
A comprehensive array of advanced driver assistance systems – which includes the MG Pilot Suite – sees the ZS HYBRID+ fitted with, amongst others, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Change Assist, Intelligent Cruise Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot Detection, and Intelligent Speed Limit Assist.
The interior features a 12.3-inch instrument display, and a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen that includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. Keyless Entry and Push Button Start and standard on both variants. There’s digital radio and a 6-speaker audio system, plus built-in satellite navigation. Space-wise, the 443-litre boot expands to 1457 litres with the rear seats folded. There are multiple USB ports too – two in the front and one in the rear.
While the Excite variant gets plenty of features, the Essence gets some extras including Electronic Panoramic Sunroof, Leather Steering Wheel, Heated Front Seats, Driver’s 6-Way Electric Adjustable Seating, Illuminated Sun visor and more.
Available in two variants, the ZS HYBRID+ Excite is priced from $33,990 (DAP/MSRP) and the ZS HYBRID+ Essence is priced from $36,990 (DAP/MSRP).
