HONDA REVEALES 0 SERIES EV MODELS

Honda presented the first two models in the company’s 0 Series line of battery electric vehicles at the 2025 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) – the Honda 0 SUV and Honda 0 Saloon prototypes. The company says that production models based on both prototypes will launch in North America in 2026. Global markets, Australia amongst them presumably, are to follow.

A concept version of the Honda 0 Saloon made a bow last year at CES 2024 and, at the time, Honda unveiled another concept – the people mover-like ‘Space Hub’ – but that appears to have been replaced by the interesting SUV in the prototype line-up.

To be built (at least initially) at the Honda EV Hub in Ohio in the U.S., the 0 Series vehicles will be fully stocked with tech features and will be equipped with ASIMO OS, an original vehicle operating system developed in-house by Honda. Honda says ASIMO OS will apply integrated management of electronic control units (ECUs) for vehicle systems such as automated driving/advanced driver assistance systems (AD/ADAS) and in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) system.

The company says that there’ll be Level 3 automated driving technology available. With Level 3 automated driving, the vehicle will, Honda says, oversee driving while the human driver can perform some other task. Further technical details are to come, but there are reports that suggest single- and dual-motor models will be available with battery pack size offering a range around 480km. A production model of the Honda 0 Saloon is scheduled to be introduced first in late 2026 in North America.
