Ford Adds New Variants to Transit Van Range

Ford’s Transit Custom van range is set to double, with the company bringing the Transit Custom Sport Van and Transit Custom Sport Double
Cab to the local market.

The two new additions will arrive alongside the already confirmed Transit Custom Trend Short- and Long-
Wheelbase models.

The Sport series vans add some exterior styling elements, and power will come from a 2-litre turbo EcoBlue diesel engine paired with an 8-speed auto transmission. Power figures come in at 125kW and 390Nm.

The Transit Custom Sport has a GCM of 5525kg and GVM of 3025kg. Kerb weight is 2002kg, meaning if offers more than a tonne of payload capacity. The Transit Custom Double Cab has a kerb weight of 2171kg resulting in 854kg of payload capacity. Maximum braked towing capacity of 2500kg.

The Transit Custom Sport Double Cab offers space for five occupants, versus the three available in all other Transit Custom variants, thanks to the addition of a second row of seats.

Further specification for the Transit Custom Sport and Custom Sport Double Cab will be announced closer to local arrivals in late 2024.

  • Sport SWB Van: $59,990
