March 2022

Relevance is key for our engagement with members. Our Divisional Meetings are currently ongoing and open to all members, and we are really working hard to introduce relevant guest speakers to encourage increased attendance, but we want to know what would it take to get you to attend?

As Rod touched on, we are in the midst of preparing the launch of our newest marketing campaign highlighting the benefits of consumers using MTA Queensland member businesses. We also want to stamp out consumers going to unscrupulous and unlicensed operators taking advantage of them.

I encourage all consumers to continue to send any information they have through to [email protected], or use the Dob in a Backyarder page on the MTAQ website. We are continuing to hear cases of serious odometer fraud, so please, if you have any evidence, send it through so we can highlight the extent of the problem and encourage further action and penalties.

And finally, our deadline for nominations for Elections is looming. Nominations close midday, 16 March 2022, and we have a range of positions currently up for nominations across many divisions. If you would like to learn more about these positions, please get in contact with us.

Until next month, take care.
