Chery Australia has confirmed specifications for its incoming TIGGO 8 Pro Max with the 7-seater launching in May.
The SUV will arrive in three variants – Urban, Elite, and Ultimate and all models come equipped with a 2-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 180kW/ 375Nm. Power is sent to the road via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The TIGGO 8 will be available in two- and all-wheel drive.
The engine has a combined fuel rating of 8.1 litres/100km and emits 191g/km of C02 (Urban and Elite 2WD).
The TIGGO 8 ahas a maximum non-braked towing capacity of 750kg while braked is 1,300kg. It sits on 18-inch (Urban and Elite) or 19-inch (Ultimate AWD) alloy wheels, has quad exhaust tips, plus LED head and taillights.
Inside, the TIGGO 8 Pro Max offers synthetic leather seats (heated and ventilated up front); a premium Sony Sound system with 8 speakers in the Urban and Elite variants and 10 in the Ultimate AWD; multi-colour ambient lighting; dual 12.3-inch instrument and multimedia screens; an Air Quality System (AQS) feature that will automatically engage a purifying system when it detects polluted air; a ‘Hello Chery’ voice command system; wireless charging, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, offline navigation, and a 360-degree camera.
The Elite model adds a few extra features including a power tailgate, a built-in dashcam, and a retractable cargo blind, while the Ultimate AWD gets even more, including the All-Wheel Drive system, the bigger wheels and extra speakers, and a panoramic sunroof amongst them.
Driver assistance and safety systems include 10 airbags, Blind Spot Detection, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Rear Cross Traffic Braking, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Departure Prevention, Traffic Sign Recognition, Adaptive Cruise Control, a Driver Monitoring System and more.
Available colours include Lunar White, Star Silver, Rhine Blue, Loran Violet, Mercurial Grey, Technical Grey, Aurora Green and Space Black.
Pricing for the TIGGO 8 Pro Max variants will be released closer to launch date in May.
